Whenever life gets tough and you find yourself searching for answers and advice, there’s nothing like stumbling across a book that speaks STRAIGHT to your soul. Over the years, I’ve been lucky enough to come across certain books at the very moment in time that I needed them – they had a beautiful lesson, articulated in a meaningful way, and I was open and ready to receive it.

Today I wanted to share some of these with you, so that you can immerse in their wisdom too. (PS, I highly recommend bookmarking this page so that the next time you’re feeling snowed under or lost, you’ve got this list stashed away for easy reference).

So without further ado, here are 5 of the best self-help books that have helped me find my way through the toughest of times and guide me back to my truth…

You are the Placebo – Dr Joe Dispenza

Joe covers many mind-blowing case studies where the power of the thought has healed many, full of life lessons and an absolute transformational favourite.

The Monk Who Sold his Ferrari – Robin Sharma

Simple, motivating, moving and with actionable advice at the end of each chapter, this book lights me up from the inside.

Rushing Woman’s Syndrome – Dr Libby Weaver

Most women can relate to the crazy pace we live our lives. This book is a great read if you need that kind of a wake up call.

Thrive – Arianna Huffington

This book is full of common sense wellness ‘take aways’ and made me redefine my understanding of success.

The Happiness Trap – Russ Harris

This book looks at how our search for happiness can make us miserable. Instead, it provides a viewpoint that practising mindfulness and living in the moment is a much more satisfying way to live.
